One is when the parent thinks she needs to rush in and repair everything all at once, and as soon as the estrangement happens. That can, and usually does backfire. The other thought error can happen when a parent thinks the only answer is to wait on God. I want you to be careful that you’re not using God as an excuse to stay in your comfort zone.
